I love when people actually think for themselves!
No doubt Kony is an awful human being... but if what is said about Invisible Children is true, then they're pretty awful themselves. I suppose at the head of every activist movement is someone looking to profit. Real activists usually disappear before a significant amount of people even hear them.
I support anti-Kony sentiments, but I do not support an organization that abuses public outrage and charity for their own purposes.

Actually... if you want to get technical... to my knowledge, Hitler was not present at the Wannsee Conference where the decision was reached for the "final solution". It is well documented that Hitler spoke of such a thing, but the plan was written by Himmler, and put into effect in Hitler's absence.

As mentioned before though i do support the takedown of this bastard and with the treatment of kids that he has done and amount of killing its a risk i am willing to take....hence i didnt do the full on donation and monthly pledge, jus got the action kit and called it a day.

everyone on facebook is jumping on this damn bandwagon.

i made a facebook status about this saying "So....everyone watches a viral video about kony...and all of a sudden your all social activists now....lol" sparked up quite some interest with ppl lol sayin im an asshole and etc.

everytime something goes viral a million people jump the wagon and join in on it....the dolphins being killed in japan....the killing of sharks for shark fin soup....children in asia working in sweat shops....starving children in africa....now this...

since nobody wanted to say it on my facebook book, i said it instead. if his own country has known hes been doing this for 30 years and they wernt able to put a stop to him....what the fuck do you think you'll accomplish by getting everyone together and saying how much of an evil bad bad man he is. doing that is no better then being a fuckin hippie tree hugger at a save the rainforest protest....bunch of fuckin hippies sitting in a circle giving massages to each other while the head hippie sits in the center singing and playing his guitar....reallllllll productive there...

Exactly. How many people are going to do more than just post about it on Facebook? Not many. Those that do more will do what? Hang posters on 4/20 (great gimmick day to choose... )? Write a check, or send money via Paypal to the company that made the video... thinking that they're doing their part to take down an evil monster?

Things like this DO need to be addressed... but if you're not going to do anything serious about it, what good is raising awareness? We have enough issues to deal with in our own respective countries, to be completely honest.
