what do you think about this trade.

So, I got a Chevy 427 big block in a deal I did. Its just the block and crank but its a pretty rare block. I have it on CL now. A older guy says he got a car from his son that moved on, or something like that.

he wants to trade me straight accross. Its a 92 acura integra shell that has a right hand drive swap. I see the dash and column are there and the brake booster too. No motor or tranny and needs alot of work. Also no cluster.

He has the title. I value the block at about $300.00.

    What do you guys think?
He says the kid spend like 6 grand at a shop doing the swap.

How much work is a lot?

Do you want to do the work necessary to make that Integra driveable, or do you think you could trade it for something better? I think such a custom project would be a hell of a headache, personally.

I love being Different and drive an attention getter so I would do it personally. Especially if it's already registered.

It needs alot of work. I dont mind the time and such as I do this everyday. Fix and finish shit people start and cant finish.

My biggest thing is how hard is getting RHD parts and pieces?

If I got it and changed my mind later, do you guys think the parts would be worth more than $300.

What interior parts does it have? Much of what's in the engine bay is going to be the same as LHD.

Seeing as it's a conversion, it could be off... not like a factory-made RHD.

what are the codes on the big block

because 427's were used in big chevy trucks too along with the 366 cubic inch version

those ones were torque monsters with no speed at all

like Deev said ,check the Teg out completely it is a possibility that it might be more of a headache than it is worth

have the block and crank cleaned up and magnafluxed. put that shit on ebay. if its somewhat rare, someone is willing to pay big bucks for it.

i just sold a borg warner t10 transmission for 700 dollars. that old shit sells for good money but you need to know what you have.

                  Thanks for the comments,
Its a truck engine too. Tall deck 427 block, crank is a 454. Both the block and the crank are all machined. Block was bored .030 over and crank was turned .010.
Ive had it on craigslist and nobody wants a truck engine.
I dont have any idea what it would be worth either. I got it for $300.00.
Also got new rod and main bearings and block has new cam bearings installed.

The integra trade is the only offer so far and I got no use for a Chevy block.
                  IDK?

Yea the tall deck 427 is not a big money engine. They were made up thru the 90's in C45-55 series trucks. I say this is a good deal if the shell is okay and legit.
