I know the reason most of us even signed up for this site is because our cb7's are our hobby, but what other things are you guys into?
For me, it's metal working and wood working. I've been welding for a couple years now but just recently got into wood working. Most of my materials are re-purposed from my job (bowling alley). Here's some of the things I've done/currently working on.
Tv stand made from 2 broken ballwheels (ballwheels are pictured to the right):
An abstract piece made from rings that hold ball bearings to a part of the pinsetter machine and the "eye" looking piece in the middle was made from 1" round tubing (also a part of the machine) cut and hand bent to shape. Still deciding on how I wanna finish it:
Another abstract piece made from hand bent round tubing and a bowling pin stripped of its plastic coating. Plan is to sand and stain the pin a dark mahogany and weld the tubing around it, more pics later:
Let me know what you guys think.
