Holler, I was going to say an E30. However, after driving one so much, I'd much rather want something like a little karmann ghia.

This one in particular probably costs more than 2 grand, but it just looks so cool in my opinion.

          I would go with a E30, 240sx or a Miata.

lt1 camaros are around 2k nowadays. They probably have the most hp per dollar for that price range.

My friend had one of those with a crate motor in it. He wasn't much of a car guy, so he never really could tell me exactly what that motor was... but he said the car should run high 12s. I took a ride in it, and I could believe it. He sold the car with that motor for $1200 when his girlfriend didn't want it taking up driveway space anymore.

Well, my roommate bought a running & driving 1981 Camaro Z28 350 auto for $400 a couple weeks ago....

....so I'd buy something like that for some good ol' hooning action.

Everyone knows what a Samurai looks like, here's the Raider:

Very similar design. Definitely wouldn't DD one, but it'd be fun as hell to romping through the woods and fields in one.
The local tuning shop near me has this.

Deev, at least give me credit that I was the one talking to you about this.

What would I want...well I kinda already did that with my old Toyota Xtracab although I exceeded the price ceiling by 2.5 (I miss that thing terribly), but I've always kinda wanted a Mk III Supra Targa. Wouldn't have to be turbo, but would have to be a Targa in white and I'd throw away the roof.

I think a Targa anything would be fun.

My Mom LOVES her 2G Pathfinder. The 1st gen was an old school body on frame style, which probably makes it more rugged. They're very rust prone, especially under the rear seats. I nearly bought a mid-90s SE after I stuffed my Accord.

The shop that built that Raider has a bunch of amazing race cars. They have an older Evo (maybe an Evo III) that they do hill climbs with and a BMW 2002 with an SR20 (sacrilegious, I know). That place was the first place I saw an R32 GT-R in the flesh.
