Where can I download a computer virus?

At my work, we fix computers. A computer came in recently and had a "zero access rootkit". It progressively got worse until we actually found out what it was.
Anyways, I'm running Linux(Ubuntu), and would like to test it.

Any links I can visit? And if necessary, please tag NSFW tags as needed.

and viruses can be on any site. think about sites you dont normally go to tho. thats where they'll most likely be at.

lol. In order for that to do anything I'd have to run it through a compatibility program. .exe's don't run natively on my OS.

Also, if you know of any websites that I could casually scroll through and click on flashing adverts, that'd be awesome.

If you can get Bearshare to work on Ubuntu that would be perfect for viruses. We did a similar thing at my old job on an XP machine and Bearshare really torched that thing in a matter of hours.

Look for free versions of paid programs that are abnormally sized. For instance, try to download Photoshop from a torrent that's only 10MB large...

You are deff going to have a hard time getting a virus on ubuntu. Your best bet is to install wine and go from there. Seeing as 95% of computer users are Windows 4.5% Mac (which is BSD Linux) and .5% Linux/Unix users. Chances of you getting a virus are slim to none.

Another Idea is to use a VB and install windows inside of that and see what happens too. I been using linux on and off for close to 9 years not once have I got a virus on it to give you an idea of what you are dealing with.
