How many people on here have replaced their brakelines? If not, how many miles do you have on them? I thought I found some newish ones at the salvage yard the other day, they looked really clean and black, and I was in a hurry since they were about to close so I grabbed them.
Turns out, now that I sprayed them down with simple green, I can clearly see the marking 2/91 marked on them in white.....which really doesn't help me much, since when I went to do the same thing on my front brake lines on my 90' CB7, I see the marking 12/89 on them. My car's at 249k. So I'll go bite the bullet and stop being a cheapskate and get new ones.
So I'm kinda bummed about that. 14 bucks down the drain since they weren't marked. Also tried to install some rear KYB shocks when the rear bushing disintegrated and is now spinning. So now I'll need to find a way to get the remnants of it out before I put these in. Ugh....this is why I hate working on 22 y/o cars...everything rubber just falls apart! sorry for going
