Neighbors...

Does anyone else have a neighbor that is always borrowing something?
Last time he borrowed my weed wacker, he ripped the pull cord so i was out 35 bucks to get it repaired.

Just twenty minutes ago, he just appeared out of no where asking if he can borrow our blower.

He's a friend of my older brother and i've known him for years but still once or twice sure but come on...

I can't say I've run into that.
I have however borrowed something and it went wrong. Despite the neighbor telling me not to worry about it yada yada and really strongly insisting its fine, I purchased the part and fixed it myself. :-P

I've got a friend like that. He'll come over and drink all the beer but never bring any. I quit stock my basement fridge with expensive beer when he comes over, then recently i just stopped drinking altogether.

Because my roommate and I are always out in the garage working on something, or doing work on the house, our neighbours are all under the assumption that we are mechanics and construction workers.

Our next door neighbour bought a small shed that needed to be assembled. Asked us if we'd build it for them with the promise of paying us. It's been a month and we haven't seen a penny, after taking the majority of our Sunday to do it for them....on a long weekend.

Our other neighbour with the Accord is constantly asking me "hey, can you fix this? Where can I get one of these? Can you replace the tranny in my Caravan? How much would this cost? Can you do this? Can I borrow this? How does this go together?" Fuck off. You paid me to repair your car after you wrecked it and you weren't happy with it, so piss off.

Then the annoying lady down the street with her POS 84 Camaro that's her pride and joy wants us to do the bodywork and paint it for her. How about....no? We have enough of our own stuff to do. We're not a shop, we're not licenced and we don't work on other people's shit just for fun.

The ones that live behind us don't take care of their yard. They just throw cans and pop bottles down on the ground like they don't care and then somehow it winds up under my fence on my side. Everytime I have to mow the lawn I'm filling up a small grocery bag with their crap otherwise I'll run it over...

I don''t believe in borrowing or loaning anything.

I use to argue with friends over it with cds and games etc.

No one really respects anyone elses shit like they do their own, so i just gave up on it a long time ago.

yeah that's what i did yesterday when weed eating along the rear fence. i just kicked it back over. I don't think it's the parents doing it but their kid. I miss the old couple that used to live there. They never gave me any problems at all.
