Last summer I was driving in Long Island on the Northern State Parkway west-bound and it failed on an inclined OFF ramp. I completely lost all power on this single lane hill and had to put on the E brake to keep from rolling back into the highway. Traffic was backed up because of me. I called AAA, who told me they don't operate on this particular road, but that if I could push the car a couple hundred feet (uphill) to the connecting road, they'd help me. So I had to get a private tow company and pay them out of pocket. Then I got towed to a rip off garage who said they could only replace the entire distributor and charged $390 for a new one, because only one place had them in stock. That was a bad day.
