he doesnt want the salvage title and is trying to fight for it. ive seen it happen before on chevy S10 SS'. insurance just sees it as another s10 that is badged up but they have a whole lot more market value to it.

same on a corrado, KBB is 700 dollars but they usually go for 2k-5k depending on condition
    I <3 G60.

0.5mm Oversized Stainless valves and bronze guides available. Pm me please.

Who the hell cares about a salvage title on a 20 year old car then?

Is it any less of a car because of that?

I wouldn't worry about a salvage title on a 20 year old Honda...

You'd have to call or go online to your local dmv's website to find out the terms/conditions of the historic plates. Here it's 25 years. Shitbox or showroom, doesn't matter. I thought for the longest time it was 20, until I looked into getting historic plates for the cb this year and said it was 25.

Now to get a restored/classic plate it does have to be in good (showroom) condition.

Edit: Doh! never mind I made sense of what you said. Just had to read it a couple times.

Hey when it says it must be original does that mean if our windows are tinted they will deny us? I recently asked my dad to do it for mine just as a joke though. He didn't think it was very funny...

It depends. Window tint might not be considered a modification... but you probably won't get historic plates (if showroom or near-showroom condition is required) if you're rocking a body kit, chrome wheels, a bright lime green interior, and have it slammed to the ground on hydraulics.

Though I believe I've seen chop-top hotrods rocking historic plates. Then again, the people issuing those plates probably have more respect for those cars than they would our little imports. They view hotrods as a part of American history, and the little import tuners as a blight on the roads.
