I'm looking at buying a 1980's Pontiac T1000 but am confused as a blind lesbian at a fish market about them. I know they came with a 4 cylinder rwd setup but are they reliable? Fuel injected? fun? Any thing I should know before buying? I haven't been able to drive it yet since the guy wasn't home when I saw it but it looked like it was in great shape! No rust, only one dent on fender, and guy across the street said the guy was selling it really cheap. Let me know what you guys think about this thing.

It's a Chevette.
My singer had a Chevette in high school. He got laughed at. Kids picked the car up and carried it to a different parking spot to fuck with him. It was slow as balls.
HOWEVER... throw enough performance parts into it...like a V8 swap... and it can haul some ass.
His particular Chevette was scrapped because the floor rusted out. He never had any serious engine problems, though.
