    Found a gem at work.

Someone traded this pretty clean 1987 CRX HF in I think two days ago. The exterior is in fair shape (no rust) but the interior could use some work. Sadly it's headed off to the auction.

Too bad its not an Si. My dad would be on it in a heartbeat, he just bought a Si parts car this weekend with the DOHC swap done. Now he's looking to grab a rust free Si shell from a guy in Jersey.

The HX model was the super-economy model, wasn't it? Like, 42mpg from an engine that put out like 62hp?

Still, that car is a classic! Well, next year officially... That would be a worthwhile restoration project. I hope someone gives it a good home. That would suck to see that hit a junkyard and rot away.

Stock Si would get 40mpg. HF gets 50mpg at least.

Hf also has a quick-ratio steering rack, good to know if you race these cars.

I find these 1st gen CRXs all day long. It's a nice clean 2nd gen I can't find very often, that hasn't rusted away or been riced to hell.

That thing is pretty clean though. I found one at the wreckers back in the winter that had louvers on the rear hatch and a strange spoiler that looked too awkward to be OEM, but it sure looked like it belonged on it.
