I broke my kite on day 1

So, I wanted to get a kite to fly with my wife on those nice summer days. I opted for a quality kite that will last instead of some cheap thing. I got a Prism Snapshot 1.9. THIS THING IS MASSIVE. it's 76" across and has 300 lb lines. I tried flying it at my college today with my wife and it just wasn't windy enough and would fall back down.

Well, the wind picked up at my work and the access door to the roof was left unlocked I went up on my break and the winds were gusty, I laid out this kite and walked the strings back. Pulled back on the lines and this effer shoots up and knocks me down on my ass.... THEN starts pulling my ass through the rocks we have on the roof.

Ultimately it was a bad decision to fly in the stronger winds because it flew up and crashed down when a gust caught it. I got 2 small tears in the back of the foil.

Now I just ordered some "Tear-Aid" for the two small rips I have and I got curious and watched their web sight videos. This stuff looks freaking amazing! I can't believe I've never heard of it before. Check it out.

On a side note, once I got the kite down, I realize that there were ass tracks about 50 feet long where I was dragged by this thing. REALLY intense. I could only imagine what the 2.5 or larger kites feel like.

i dont remember what size the one my brother got was, it was a big 2.something one, but flying these at the beach is fun. thing picks me up.
