You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet Money and Knowledge are never in the same sentence, because people with Money think they know it all, but people with knowledge, know better.-ragingasian
You'd have to find the LCD, least common denominator, which is 15X, then multiply every term(separated by either a + a - or an = sign) so that you can cross out anything they have in common in the denominator.
For the first term 1/x you would multiply it by 15x. The x's cross out so your left with 15 * 1 which 15.
Same for the next, since you have no denominator for 16, you just multiply to get 240X.
then = 1/15 * 15X , the 15's would cross out so it would just be 1*x or 1X.
So your new problem is 15 + 15 + 240X = X
Then you just balance it out.
subtract an X from both sides, your left with 15 + 15 + 239X = 0
Subtract 15 from both sides twice so now it's 239X = -30
Then divide -30 by 239. I'd leave it as - 30/239 unless it reduces.
I literally just finished my Math 098 beginning algebra class yesterday. I got a 104% in the class after my final. It really sucks not going to college for 6 years, but seriously it's just some A's and B's and X and Y and PRESTO you have an acceptable answer!
