Those badges are like putting a decal on your car that says "I'm a shitty driver!"
In Japan, they have a function. In the US, they mean absolutely nothing, other than "something Japanese". Either way, I think it's dumb. You don't want to advertise that you suck as a driver (though if you do, PLEASE advertise so we can stay away!)
