    An interesting 180sx

So a guy I know picked up a 180 shell and is going to put it together in 3 weeks. His deadline is IA spring show.

Long story short...a month ago I bought Andy's rhd converted 240 to build..just missing some rhd action after getting rid of my skyline and getting flaked on by this guy with a real 180sx. After a week of working on Andy's old car the guy who flaked on me shot me a text asking if I still want it...I didn't wanna buy from him after what had done but in the back of my mind I did want a authentic 180sx. I knew Kevin(who I sold my skyline to the first time) wanted the car from Andy so I sold it to him. So after work last Thursday night Tiger,Sylvian and myself headed down to Atlanta and picked up the 180 and towed it to its new home!!

All the body work has been done just gotta double check for any little dings. My main objective for week 1 is fixing the bay since it has a nasty hole where the battery was cause of rust...I'm giving some Squirky made tubs!! and getting the body kit fitted.

I'm gonna be running VIS M-speed kit with the "SUPER RARE lol" Rocket Bunny wing.

    Its real no replica.lol

A little tub action in the making...with no welder....
Shot out to the post office for the free boxes.lol

Shot out to Lowes for holding it down so I could pick up some sheet metal on a Sunday!!

    After cutting the shit out..

Shot to Andy Vaughn for tacking my stuff!!! MORE TO COME from this guy!!

Group shot still gotta fab up a couple pieces tomorrow!!

    More to come!!!

well, in the states the "240sx" is a 2.4l 4 cylinder 2 door that came in coupe and hatch bodies.

there was the 180sx that came with the original pop-up front lights and bumper, and usually the CA18det 1.8l turbo 4 cylinder. hence 180sx instead of 240.

there is also the 200sx which is the coupe model (Known primarily as the Silvia) that came with a static front light and bumper set up and the sr20det 2.0l turbo 4 cylinder.

there were variations between them. Factory options and add-ons. like an SR20 in a hatch back body and other combinations though.

also, the 180sx was only available in Japan just like the Silvias. So a genuine 180 is actually a little rarer than a Silvia in the fact that more people wanted silvias so more were imported.

Pretty much, he just made a build thread about the car he picked up and wants to have it done to drive to IA. Just to sum up WTF is going on lol

What it would take most to do in a 1yr for decent result he doing in 3 weeks and the car is not not going to have a single flaw!

exactly how many project cars actually hit any type of "End result" besides....

^^and thats a whole different story.

all im saying is, 99.9% of projects aren't finished until there sold, or crushed really. Even if you sell yours, the next person may not have the same love for it you do which ups the chance of being found in a junk yard to be crushed for weight.
