may be selling the cb7 :(

well i found a cheap wrecked cd5 w/ jdm h22a and lsd...the title is clean, and the engine seems to be(going to get close look tomorrow), and the guy wants 1500...it's a 94 accord lx..white w/ tan interior...what u guys think? i'll hate to see the cb7 go, but i loved my last cd5 w/ a passion, and this one won't be any diff....i'm still coming to the cb7 meet tomorrow night tho

Why would you have to sell the CB? You could use the CD as a parts car.

    Prev CBs:
    -'93 BRP LX 4AT
    -'92 AGP LX 5MT
    -'93 AGP EX 4AT
10yrs after my first cb, I'm still driving one!

nah..if the cd is worth fixing, i'd rather have a cd....i just like em a little more...but still not sure, i'm gonna check the valves, under the valve cover, and egr ports to make sure it isn't older than the guy says it is...i guess it'd be worth it period if the engine was in good shape...

I've got love for the CD5s. I love the interiors so much better on them than a cb7. However, I like the CB7 body style better.

Do what you gotta do tho.

There's a world of difference between cd vs. cb. Its all preference, really. CD feels a little bigger/newer from the inside. I personally like the way the steering feels on them more than the CB; a little more responsive. But I give more props to a clean CB b/c theres so many beaters & stock ones out there, and what car that old is still around in that quantity? Says something about reliability.

Anyway, good luck with getting ur 5th gen. Sounds like a good deal if its legit.

For me, the CD5 feels like I'm not really in tune with the car. The steering is responsive, but the road feel just isn't there. Maybe my roommate's 96 just has a better PS pump (mine is pretty weak, so I kinda half semi-power steering!)

I would just grab that car for $1500 for the motor and tranny, which is easily worth $2700 in good condition (that's the shipped price from HMO) Sell the CD5 for parts and have a pimp CB7 If the CD5 was wrecked enough to be junked, WITH an H22 in it, someone obviously cared about the car... though not enough to yank the engine to sell after the car was junked! Chances are it's not worth fixing. As long as the motor is strong though, you can put it in the lighest chassis that can accept the H22 with relatively no handling losses.

Im with Deev on this one pull the motor out and rebuild the whole thing and restrenghten the block from inside..slap in your cb7 and voila youve got yourself a daily diver with a killer motor.

1500 bucks for a CD5 sounds like a steal to me.
