The whole idea of the convertible is actually pretty sick. If this had a lip kit, some JDM parts and a basic paint job, and some nice JDM wheels it would be pretty cool.

Maybe. The problem though is the roof is a main structure of a car, It supports much of the side to side twisting forces on the body. Actual convertibles get away with it due to extra reinforcement.

Oh, and you can't drive in the rain...
