Fix It or let it go

I have a 92 EX with 46k miles and I am thinking either fixing it or find another shell and put the engine into that. The car needs an airbag and needs some body work in the front and it needs to go in for the 907 inspection.....Is the car worth fixing up or just find a shell?

It would probably be easier just to fix it. Thats what im doin with my car.

They want you to use Brand New air bags to get the 907 inspection.

Yea I know Its life is barely started thats why I dont want to let it go. And the 907 story......you have to give them a dealer reciept to be able to get your title for the car.

At only 46k I would be inclined to spend the $600 for the airbag. The rest of the car has plenty of life in it. Its practically new.

I know I should really spend the money and just get the airbag....but its a branded title. But if someone can has a shell for sale for around $400 or less I would buy that and just transfer over the engine.

Its not the money for the airbag that I am concerned about but the reciept part...must be legit.

Hm.....I am gonna call up or try to atleast and see if they take reciepts from shops or just from the dealership. BUT from the notice that DMV had they said that only NEW aibags could be used with salvage titles in NY.....isnt that true?
