Did any of you guys 'waterproof' the ballasts or connections?

I know the apexcone ballasts are near bulletproof and are suppose to be submerge able but what about the connections between the ballasts/bulb? Where the connections meet?

Did anyone wrap that to insulate it?
All the connectors in my apexcone kit were Weatherpack connectors, so not worried about waterproofing.

I've installed 3 sets of 5k and 6k slim design over the last couple of years on different cars with no problems so far. Shipping was slow but I didnt mind. It was packaged well and install is pretty straight forward.

I can agree that they have a bit mediocre customer service. But, i have ordered 7 sets of HID's from them. 3 for friends and 4 for all my vehicles and parents vehicles. NO problems yet. All 5k and 6k, and 4.5k and 3k for me. all the same color.

And this is true about burning in the color. HID's are only flash tested my b=more company's to see if they work. So, when you get the HID's make sure you put both in and turn them on at the same time. I have had a few problems with other brand HID's that were differant color olny because i didnt install them right

Ah yes, id say this is valuable info.

When i turned my on for the first time, the drivers side was a nice blue hue but the pass side was yellow.....then it warmed up and they were even.

Let them burn in for 10 mins.

                Looking good.

                Ill upload pics soon!

Once cycled, they kind of work into it. Mine had done the same thing when I first put em in.

There are a few kiddo's around here who are running 12k. How the hell do they see late at night on the back roads up here, is beyond me.

Yeah good call Mike, thought I was the only one who felt that way.

                      But, back on topic.

DDM is like any other online company. In the world of fast commerce, it leaves room for them to screw up-sure. But I don't think they're any better nor worse than anyone else out there. Sounds like the maker of the link has some gripe with DDM themselves.

They think they have eagle vision with 12k's because they're so bright.
