So my friend just picked up a 240sx...

It's a 1990 hatch with 138k. It's auto. It needs rotors turned, new brakes, random bulbs, hatch dampers, a radio, some sunroof issues and a thermostat.

She traded 2 laptops, 2 cameras and an engagement ring for it.

Im jealous.

She wants my help fixing it. I may just mod it vicariously through her.


Anyone know anything about them? I know it's a KA24E, 4-discs, not sure if it has ABS or not. Anything to check or watch for?

One laptop worked, the other needed a HD. Both cameras worked but one needed an $80 charger. The engagement ring is from her ex-fiance. He dumped her and she kept the ring, lol. He bought it from a pawn shop for $160, lol.

If you aren't doing a swap, aside from any regular maintenance, timing chain guides and oil return lines are some of the few major issues with the ka24e.

I have a 90 fastback. It has a SR20DET in it now. Its five lug. I only changed the hubs. It has 300zx rotors and pads. Stick of course. Flip lights FTW! Its maroon/burgundy. I'm going to paint it black next year. No sunroof. Tein coils. Its a project. I haven't touched it months tho. Just sits in Long Island NY. Under a tarp.

I've had a SR20DET, CA18DET, and a KA24ET.
Fun little car and cheap to mod. Well, it was when I had them.
That was before "drifting" was a commonly known word (03-06).
