If ebay allowed everybody to flake out on impulse they would not be able to stay in business, they force the buyer and seller to assume some level of risk so all of the risk is not on ebay......they provide a gateway between buyers and sellers, why should they assume ANY risk? Ebay offers incredible protection for buyers who purchase from fraudulent sellers and they lose some money from taking on that risk.


Anyway I always, 100% of the time, pay immediately on my ebay purchases. It makes the sellers love you and they usually ship stuff out alot quicker, they love not having to chase down, set aside inventory, and wait for payment. I do my best to be a great customer to people who get crap every day in customer service.....worked in customer service once and vowed to always be a better customer after that!

Yes but do you remember the insecure sketchy days of ebay? I'm sure everyone does.

I think it's a great feature. Holds folks accountable. You wouldn't wanna take a risk that big with a large purchase if you were a seller either while I agree with a lot of what is said here.

Then you know if you paid, you've paid. End of story. It's on them at that point.

I hate when people commit to buying on Craigslist and set up a place and time to meet and nobody comes or they keep wanting you to hold for ever and ever piss me off. Have your shit strait or dont try to buy at all.
