    commit to buy

anybody else think this is a stupid feature for ebay?

If something goes wrong with your credit card info like you switch banks and then pay pal wont let you change to a different card then you cant pay for it and your stuck with their stupid emails telling you to pay. It's bs!

Don't buy something unless you KNOW you have the funds, and that your method of payment will work. It's really not that difficult.

Even if there's a mistake or problem with your payment option(s), you can resolve them with PayPal before you finalize your transaction. If a problem occurs, you'll have the option to modify your payment methods.

As an eBay seller myself, non-paying bidders are the worst. Even without paying for what they "committed" to purchase, the seller still has to pay eBay a percentage of their revenue - collected or not.

Don't give me the "Deev" answer to all things "it's your fault for not knowing!" Somethings are unexpected. I went to the whole process waiting for it to let me put in my card information. Instead it filled it out for me with the wrong information so I had to correct it. Which I finally did today so it should be fine.

still it's a shitty deal! where else do you do that and why is it necessary? This is why I prefer dealing with cash and in person.

I respect the input I just want to see if anyone agrees but It's fine if I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

And you don't find that to be shitty on ebay's part? Them making you pay because of some flake? By the way this was not my mistake. Ebay entered the info from my previous card and I tried to switch it to the new card because that's what I intended to use but paypal said there was something wrong. So i had to wait till today and wake up to ten emails from ebay telling me I owed money I just think it's stupid and wrong both for the buyer and seller.

              sue me.

Thanks for insulting me. It's amazing how I can go from respecting someone to thinking that they are a complete moron in a matter of minutes.
Next time you want to insult me, please don't do it on the forum I provide for you. You posted publicly about this, and you got opinions. If you don't want to hear it, don't bring it up. You don't HAVE to share your personal life on this forum. In fact, you don't HAVE to post on this forum at all.

Didn't mean to insult you deev just just pointed out that it's a routine answer though i might see why a lot of people complain as I do. I apologize if I came off as rude. But like you said it's all opinion.

To Wedek: because it would take longer, and there's more room for error and scamming./?

eBay wants me to commit more than my girl.

                        So I say peace out.

BTW it is paypal that deals with the payments (even though eBay owns it). So all the information entered is up to the owner's responsibilities.
