As a final project for one of my classes, i need to create a medical drama.

Seriously i could use some ideas on how to basically kill a kid on the operating table with a brain hemorrhage.

You suspect he has internal bleeding in his head, to relieve the pressure, you drill a hole, oops, you went too far and the 4 inch drill bit is now completely in his head. Done

From the brain hemorrhage on the table is the way I'd like for him to die. I'm thinking the pressure was too great causing the brain to become herniated etc.... And then bam.

idk... reading that article would make me want to go punch someone.

Thanks for your help though, i read a few more articles online and decided to go with that idea about his brain being squeezed through a small opening in his skull, thus killing him.

Once i get my grade back in about a week, i'll let you know what i got.

We don't do a whole lot with surgery in pharm skool but there's a few ways to get a brain hemm.

You can get a NASTY immune reaction to isoflurane or halothane if you've been given it before and developed antibodies to trifluroacetate (metabolite of the anesthetic)

Massive antibody cross linking can cause liver necrosis and intracranial emboli (clot).

IC Emboli= BAM! Brain hemm. You can TRY giving quick heparin for the liver but you can't close off an IC hemm too easily.

I'd go with surgeons notice the TFA reaction and give heparin or enoxaparin. That breaks an unseen brain clot... oops.
