    What goes around comes around

February 19,2002, my step dad purchased a 2002 Mazda B4000 SE.

Super reliable, great truck, never had any issues with it. Religiously maintained, and put on all highway miles.

June 2008 - Truck becomes mine, with 378 000km on it. Spent a ton of money repairing things. Tires, brakes, clutch, u joints, windshield, wheel bearings, belts, replacing burnt out gauge cluster lights etc etc etc.

May 2009 - Drove truck from Ontario to Alberta when I moved. 3100km. Did the trip in 3 days with no problems.

July 2009 - Regrettably sold the truck for $3000, with 430 000km to an older guy who lived locally near me.

Yesterday - My friend purchased the truck off the guy I sold it to. He also paid $3000 for it, with 447 000km on it.

The truck holds a lot of senitmental value to me, so I was glad I found it for sale and told my friend about it. He went to look at it, loved it and immediately put his 99 Sonoma up for sale. He sold it and bought the Mazda.

    This is the truck today.

I'm happy to see it's gone to a good home (this is my friend with the red Skyline) and I know where it is now. I've been debating whether or not to purchase it back later this year.

Just funny to see the way things go around like that.

Good to see a half million kms hasn't affected the truck as much as one would think. I have recently acquired my old Accord, which is now a designated city winter beater. Its probably worse off than that old Mazda, and its got half the kilometers hah.

Stupid guy I sold the truck to said they were too loud and hard on gas and bad in the snow. So he traded them to a guy with a Jeep Liberty for the steel rims and all season tires.

Epic fail if I may say so. Bugs me too, cuz I've seen the Liberty around town too, and it looks stupid with the big wheels on it.

At least it stayed clean over that time period.

Hate it when you sell a car to someone who swears they'll maintain it, then you see it a year later and it's a complete shitter.

          life is good.

The guy I sold it to was such a cheap ass. For some reason, I had a brand new Interstate Megatron battery in it, like 2 months before I sold it, and now it has some shitty ass Motomaster Canadian Tire special in it. I know my buddy will take good care of it though. He's so anal with his Skyline.

I just saw that you lived in lethbridge. Fuck, small world. Do you still have that opal green car or is that the 'sold' in your sig. I've seen it rolling around here and on the highway between leth and taber. Shit looks good.

The "opal green" is Solaris Silver. I traded the car to a guy in Airdrie last May. It wouldn't have been me driving it out near Taber, I never took it any further east than Coaldale where I worked at the time.

If you see the car locally, stop the guy. I want to buy it back.

                Where do you live?

Strange. Pretty sure there's an opal green metallic car with the same aero and similar wheels. That or my eyes have gone bad. Though I'm sure I've seen A cb7 that looks strikingly similar to yours much more recently than last may. I live in lethbridge, have for twenty some years.

ah....now your G35 looks familiar, with the bronze wheels. I've seen that around. Yeah, I live on the west side in Indian Battle Heights.

I haven't seen any other done up CB7s around here other than the beautiful turbo burgundy one, the flaked out lime green one, and the dark green one with the H22 swap, bodykit and air ride...which that one I've seen in Grasslands Estates outside Taber parked beside a detached garage.

I only had mine from December '09-May '10.

Yeah leth is pretty dry for nice accords of any generation, not to mention imports in general. I have a white coupe, lowered with mismatched SSR meshies and some rust. Nothing special but a far cry better than most. Havnt driven it for three years prior to this winter though.

And I guess you didn't get the accord bug haha, sure didn't keep that car for long. What do you have now?

oh, I have the Accord bug...regretted trading it since the first day it was gone.

                        I drive this.

I'm selling it this year and buying another Accord. I just got into CP Rail, so hopefully will have some decent cash flow coming in to sell the Mazda and pick up another CB.

My room mate has a '90 Silvia K's with an SR20 swap that we're working on right now.

What a dumbass. I had Cooper Discoverer STTs on my Dodge for a while. Damn good tire in deep mud. I can't imagine them being bad in snow. I bet he just needed money so I bet the Liberty guy traded with cash on top.
Only reason I got rid of them was for a damn good deal on brand new BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO.

Looks clean, cant say I've seen it around though. Theres always a nice CB for sale, just have to look in the right places. I'm sure you'll find one.

After the Accord I was done with front wheel drive. Can't say I regret the decision either. Following that were several imported cars. Still have an old Toyota hidden away.

Silvia's can be a lot of fun as common as they are, its just hard to make the car any different than the next persons.
