Pierced nipples... how long until you can safely "play" with them

I'm not considering them for myself, but my better half wants them. I've been reading around and the time frame for complete healing can be 9mo to over a year. But from those with experienc, how long until it's safe to gently play with them, with my mouth. I just don't want to run any chance of infection, obviously.

Telling a guy he can't suck on his lady's nipples is such a downer. Especially when they're in my face. That's like baking the best cake in the world, placing it on the table in front of you and telling you that you can't eat it for 9 months. No bueno!

9 mos sounds about right....maybe a little less but i know piercings take a long time to heal....and besides that if your going to be putting your mouth there, id suggest cleaning the area after. Our mouthes are pretty dirty compared to dogs and other animals and so even though the piercings heal up, it is still a direct entry into the body....the hole doesn't close up 100% unless you remove the piercing so id be careful with that.

I had a friend that had them and she said it took about 6 months and a ton of rubbing alchol. SHe said it burned like a bitch but its better safe then sorry.
