I have a full Skunk2 suspension set up (springs and struts) as well, have had them for almost 3 years and I absolutely love them. They ride smooth, the drop isn't as aggressive as I would have liked, but, it's definitely a good ride.

well, im buying mainly VW parts nowadays but i never had anything bad to say about skunk2. they've been around a lot longer than bisimoto (not saying hes bad either) but big ups for staying around in the import business for so long.

import crowds like to jump around even moreso than german or domestic appz.

Selling LOTS of cheap quality, poorly engineered suspesnion parts to ricers will keep you afloat for quite a while...

                jus sayin.

                  this.

I like their sport suspension package, had it on my EJ for a while. Rode decent, but the struts still blew out after not even a year after I put em in. So needless to say, they have their strong points and weaknesses. Also the roads up here pwn.

                  life is good.

give them some credit jeez. they make great full bodied coilovers, cams, tons of helpful parts that actually work, like their k series chain tensioners. they are much more than a company selling shitty springs. and it seems everyone who actually runs their springs/shocks has good things to say. have u actually owned them?

outside of eibach, who makes a great spring/shock combo for our chassis?

                          Yes.
I have no complaints about the springs themselves, it's when they're paired with the shock. The springs on blown OEM shocks had a better ride than the springs/shocks combo.

Only one that comes to mind is Tokico. Not a great performance setup, but it's a mild drop with a comfortable ride.

The Tokico setup is the ONLY thing that those Tokico HP shocks are good for!

I've never owned Skunk2's coilover sleeves and shocks, but honestly, everone I know that has run that setup hates it. The shocks are very poorly matched for the springs, and the fact that Skunk2 won't reveal the spring rate and shock specs REALLY makes me skeptical.
Most people that I know with just the sleeves and better shocks don't have much to complain about... but honestly, I would MUCH prefer Ground Control. However, I'm not a fan of coilover sleeves to begin with. I'd rather have a good set of springs and shocks, rather than something that my uneducated ass can adjust!

I know they do make decent parts for other applications... and I'm not really bashing them as a company as a whole (though the fact that I'm unwillingly on their mailing list, and unable to get off of it, taints my opinion quite a bit...) Still, I feel they should not be making Accord suspension products when the quality is so poor. From the reports I've gotten about their shocks, they might as well just have spraypainted some cheap shit Gabriels and slapped their logo on them!

I'm sure their full bodied coilovers are a generic design that they've contracted to another company for production... and just paid for the rights to put their name on it. Just like Megan Racing's coilovers...

just regarding the rebadging... they are not. they are an independent design actually. however there is nothing wrong with those types of full bodied coilovers for 95% of most peoples use.
