Ya Jon has an Audi.
And what everyone is failing to see(or some) is that if the car had hit the tree at a different angle then he would be dead....the car didn't protect him in any shape or form...he just hit the tree at the perfect angle allowing him to keep his life.
Cars are not tested to hit trees at speeds capable of splitting them in half.
There is a reason for that. We want you off the road.
