yeah, the whole certified parts specialist part definitely helps!

most guys who work @ parts stores in my area are so unfamiliar with accords in general. I was asked not too long ago if my CB had the 1.5L MFI or 1.6 upon inquiry of a part...I cringed.

I deal with Napa for most replacement part purchases. But I've still never had any quality issues with Autozone's batteries before.

    life is good.

Johnson Controls and Panasonic being the two already mentioned, the third I can't remember right off the top of my head. I believe it was the Fit or Insight (and no not the lithium pack in the trunk) that had a different manufacturer.

      To the OP:
I've had problems with the Autozone in my town. But I've also had problems with the Advanced Auto and the two O'Reilly stores in my area. The majority of those places pay their employees $7.25 an hour with shitty hours. You probably aren't going to get amazing service unless the employee is dedicated or a hardworking person. I haven't ever had a problem with NAPA but some of their prices are a bit high.
Your absolutely correct. Johnson controls came on american accords, panasonic and yausa came on japanese accords.

when my battery died I went straight for an Optima Yellow Top being 16 thinking I was going to install a stereo and subs later down the line. That one failed 2 yrs later with just a JVC deck no fancy subs or amps to kill the battery, still under warranty and I went back to Batteries Plus and they gave me a Red Top. That one failed in 2 3/4 years and I got another Red Top. So in the 7 years I've owned my car I've only had to purchase 1 battery.

They're good batteries, its just that nothing exposed to heat lasts in Arizona, especially batteries. My current one going on 1.5 yrs is still putting out about 950 CCA. So I guess you get what you pay for. Not a whole lot of quality control went into those Valucraft batteries I'm thinking.

Try to aim for a battery with a 3 yr warranty, b/c they generally don't last that long, well in my environment, and you'll get a new one free of charge usually and the warranty period resets with a new battery. At least thats how Optima's warranty goes.

idk just my experience. I think those Duralast batteries are much better than the valuecraft and have a 3 yr free replacement warranty, I've got one in my project CB7 (brand new for free from the previous owner's information ) and lately have been having issues getting the car to run properly and it puts out great starting power during this week of constantly having to start it/shut it down and adjust engine stuff.

So you complain to a D.M because you can't communicate well enough..nice job. Sounds like you don't have patience.

          And know your model specifically.

Duralast Gold battery was rated as a top notch battery as well..out peformed other brands. My car has one and I've never had an issue with their batteries.
