I dont believe in reparations. What happened happened, giving us money will not fix things. I believe people who want money will use it for the wrong reasons anyway. They dont want it to put them through college, they want it for more pairs of jordans or air force 1s.

Sorry this is just what I was thinking while reading through the responses, waiting for my turn
Anyway, my view is, it's more important to fix the problems that we CAN change, ie the problems of today. I know the past sucked sometimes, but injustice lives to this day and we can do something about that. I think if the people who suffered tragedies could come back to life they would tell us to fix the problems around us now, not quarrel over whats happened to them. We should recognize and understand the past, but trying to correct it would require a time machine, which other than the one in my closet, don't exist. But on the issue of reparations, I'm hispanic, and my descendants have been screwed over in the past. Personally when I think about it I don't feel I deserve free money either, all I want is for their hardships to be recognized, not made a profit of.
on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
