    Honda FCX Clarity

    I want one.

    http://automobiles.honda.com/fcx-clarity/

I was just watching an episode of Topgear UK and they did a bit about it which really made me interested. It's a shame that it's only available currently in California.

Looking at one, it sort of resembles an 8th gen Civic with it's futuristic styling.

I saw one in person at the DC auto show. Too bad they only come in one color

            Old news.

Sad thing about hydrogen technology is that it is just not feasible in the long run. The cars are limited release with no option to buy because the fuel cells run about half a mil themselves

Half a mil? That's $500. Where do you get your info? Texaco?

The lease is actually pretty good

I mean its $600 a month but it covers all maintence on the car. Pretty much you pay $600 a month and bring it in for every scheduled maintence for free, even brakes.

                  Pretty good?

600$ a month without insurance included and gas at 3.50$ a gal is not pretty good.

Better off just getting a Civic or Accord off lease with low mileage....it won't be so expensive to do most of the work yourself anyway and insurance would be cheaper.

They're lease only, with no option to buy. When the lease period is up, they're ALL going back to Honda.

Really, it's just experimental. Pushing the limits, and testing new technology. Plus, they get credit for making non-petroleum-fueled vehicles. Each company needs a certain amount of "credits" in hybrid/non-petroleum vehicles now. This is one way to accomplish that. (another is to buy credits from companies such as Tesla... who is practically staying afloat by doing just that... selling their credits.)

Its not always about saving the most money, its also good to know you have a really nice car and its good for the enviroment too. At least thats how i think. Sure you might save money with an accord/civic but your still polluting the enviroment somewhat.

Just give me a CRZ. That's a hybrid deely I'd drive and not look like a complete pansy in.

I'd take a CRZ also BUT theres not enough room in it for four people also i'd have to keep it in sport mode all the time.
