    Failed at getting "fish eyes"

    For school I had to make panels get "fish eyes", lifting, solvent pop, and tape tracking, to show paint defects. I got all the others except for fish eyes. But of course the side view mirror that I also painted did get fish eyes . Anyway I rubbed motor oil on the panel it's self to get fish eyes and painted directly over it. Nothing. So then I tried Putting a layer of clear coat down, let it dry and put a drop of oil on it and then put some more clear on it. Still nothing!! GAH! sorry just had to vent my feelings and thought this was extremely wierd haha


    Thats the oil that i dropped right onto the clear and then put another layer on it.

    Silicon works wonders for creating fish eyes.
    And no I'm not referring to silicon boobs . . .

        pits on paint. usually shaped like fish eyes. you would have to sand it down to make it even.

        heres a pretty bad version of fish eyes on paint.



        just imagine pits on your face because of pimples.

            I wish we had silicon lol everything we use is silicon free so we can prevent fisheyes haha hopefully tomorrow I'll eat a big bag of doritos and then wipe my hands on the panel and then find some paint and have the big diesel truck rev up in the paint booth lmao hopefully its enough to get fish eyes. And fish eyes are a paint defect that looks like, well fish eyes haha google it I'm sure you can find some pics

              Take an aerosol can of tyre shine in with you
