Its raining the So.Cal I just picked this cb7 up. I keep noticing when water hits the hood it becomes steam. I thought the car was over heating bu the guage shows it in normal range.

the hood feels warm to the touch but not hot. My only guess is that that part of the hood doesnt have wax and is steaming the water.

your hood is hotter then what you think.... The rain has brought your hands to feel cold and throws off your temp sensory....

Put a teaspoon of water into a hot pan. Same concept.

mine does that too, but only when sitting in traffic. that's normal
