my car got spit on

And the worst part is, i was in my car while it happened
So i was pulling down a alley and driving towards a sidewalk, saw no one, but all the sudden this old guy starts walking across, so i stop, about 4-5 feet away from the sidewalk. The guy looks at me pissed off and whips out the middle finger. I just looked in shock, but then couldn't hold it anymore and laughed.
so he walked away a foot or two, then he turns around and comes back to me.
At the time i couldn't pull out onto the street cause of the cars, so i was stuck. I thought he was going to kick my tire or something, but he spits out a loogey on my hood. I was just so shocked, i didn't know what to do, so i just drove off and gave the double meep.

Now given if this guy wasn't in his 60's and a nutjob, i would of gotten out of my car, but if the guys crazy whats the point.
