When it's gestured directly towards me, for something I did, yes it's offensive. It's about the best gesture you can use to show someone your displeasement when they can't hear you.

P.S. thank you for not banning me.
It was me, not you, lol. Your post just had to be deleted cuz it contained the original picture.

I always heard it was to show the enemy that they still had their trigger finger. I guess because the thing back thing was shooting/cutting off your enemy's trigger finger so that they couldnt fire a gun.

pretty sure i already told my whole story on here somewhere.
anyway last time someone did it to me i was going to follow them home and beat them up.

whenever there was a break in the traffic i speed up so he'd be boxed in again then id put the brakes on.

they eventually left the highway really fast without indicating.

edit people can cut me off have close calls with accidents if unintentional and it won't bother me,
dangerous driving or drive slow do stupid shit aslong as they don't hit me I'm not fazed.

The last time I flipped someone off - and it was the only occasion in quite a long time - was a school bus driver maybe a month ago. I was biking to work and he almost hit me pulling out of the school trying to catch a gap in traffic. The guy sat there, stationary and looking in my direction, for quite some time before I got to that point. How did he not see me? He went for the gap, suddenly slammed on the brakes, I weave out into traffic (lucky for that gap!) to go around him and get back in the bike lane, then flipped him off when he caught up. He had the nerve to honk at me! Personally, I don't take it as offensive but it's all I could do!

Even cuss words have completely lost their offensive meaning to me though. I think it's about time in human evolution that we get past such petty things as words. Especially as they all pretty much change their meaning over time anyway. "***" went from meaning "happy" to "homosexual" to today's common replacement for... disagreeable, or "stupid" (roughly), even though older folks are still stuck in the past. Also, what the hell's with this generation's addition of the thumb extension with the middle finger? What is that supposed to be, some "I love you" mixed in with your would-be offensive gesture there?

I don't think it means much of anything anymore. So many people do it, we've become desensitized to it.

I however am starting something new. Next time somebody pisses you off. Whip out your penis and smack it. They'll be in shock and when you walk away, they'll ask themselves did that guy really just whip out his penis and smack it. He's one crazy guy, I don't want to mess with him anymore.

                    Problem solved.

I'll try that tomorrow. If I don't reply back with results within 48 hours, just assume I am in jail.

I love the thumbs extension. Not full-on, but the bent, barely out way. It means, "I mean business!"

Mak, yes. Whip it out, "It's called MY FUCKING DICK!!"

I knew a kid in high school that did that in the cafeteria once... I think he's committed now.
