    Aliens

Any one believe in ET or outer space beings. It has recently been brought to my attention because ever since i was little i was amazed by outer space. I stopped looking into it most of my teen years and now i am rediscovering it.
I ran into a lot of talk of alien beings and what not over the internet and even most recently on the history channel.

which brings me to my original question.

does anyone on CB7T believe in ET beings?

It's interesting to theorize about extraterrestrial beings helping humans build structures such as the steppe pyramids in South America, Stonehenge in England and other things of this nature. It's also fun to think about the possibilities that they're in ancient artwork and such.

There's a lot of strange things that happen. I'm kind of on the fence right now. Some things might have no explanation, others might confirm that e.t.'s do exist. I don't buy into the abduction deal, but I do believe it's likely that life exists beyond our planet. I'm not saying life as in human intelligence, I'm saying life as in a microbial scale. I truly believe that intelligence and life as we know it on earth is very rare, no matter the size of the universe.

Yeah mine too! There is a lot of things i have run into recently about aliens and the sorts. I really can't see who or why is it that they want to hide information from the public about aliens, i mean i know they exist and i know many people who believe they exist.

there is a lot of weird shit on the interwebz

There will be aliens, just depends on the type.
Technically you could call bacteria on another planet an alien.

I find it impossible to believe that we are the only living creatures in this universe though.

I have the same approach to the subject as evil demon does. If our universe is infinite as theories state, then the possibilities within that universe are therefore infinite except with physics, which is essentially the law of the universe that cannot be physically broken.

With such circumstances, I am convinced that there are multiple extra terrestrials, possibly numbering in the thousands if not millions, but due to the laws of physics, it would take thousands of light years for any form of life to encounter another much less communicate.

It took the human race thousands of years just to develop simplistic space travel. Give that amount of time to another species in another planetary system and the chances of us bumping into each other are greatly increased, if we're still around by then...

Even with perfect circumstances, it'd be a long shot for us to meet another civilization of extra-terrestrials.

                Are they out there? Yes.

Will we meet them before our species goes extinct or our planet is somehow destroyed in some sort of fashion? Probably not.

humans have only been around a hundred thousand years or something but the universe is billions of years old. it is rather unlikely we are the ONLY intelligent life in billions of years and only at this point in the universes existence.

I am sure there was/is intelligent life out there, but I do not believe all these "sightings" are actually et

                  so I do but I don't

what makes you think that aliens where created the same time we were? (not saying that you do or don't)

BUT they could have higher intelligence than we do. would they not?

In an infinite universe there are an infinite amount of aliens that could've been "created" at the exact same time we were and evolved as a similar pace as well as the infinite possibility that there are races extremely advanced in comparison to us as well as the reverse situation.

If they are more advanced then we are then we have no hope of communicating with them on a similar level because we are not advanced enough to be able to understand the manner in which they communicate unless they essentially sat there and taught us which, knowing humans, wouldn't happen.

I went with the similar time-frame because, theoretically, that would be a species that we would have the best chance of being able to communicate with.

                      Hypothetically.

I wanted to start a thread like for a long time, but didn't want to sound like a nerd haha. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that there are plenty of interesting and strange things that are hard to explain on this planet and the vast amount of things/lifeforms/aliens that COULD be somewhere in this large universe

Well from what i have been researching and reading tell me otherwise. Everything links and all the dots connect.

                          Hypothetically.

It may seem to good to be true, almost fantasy like.

What have you been researching? It'd be easier to discuss if we knew what information was involved.

To address the whole ancient aliens thing, if they were advanced enough to get here in the first place (which would take a huge technological understanding) why the hell would they draw lines in the sand at Nazca, build a large stool circle in Scotland, and make circles in crops and such? I know the theories say it's some sort of form of navigation, but again, if they're advanced, they wouldn't use such primitive forms of navigation unless they sent the scrubs. The only thing I could ever see aliens having any involvement in is the Pyramids.
