Who gives a shit about "facetime" talk if the the keyboard isn't worth a dick?
Sorry chief, Android is free for a reason, and ad revenue is not it.
Please don't tell me a Windows phone?
All the Android phones ive ran have been more then fine with the keyboard...the one i have now is a Mytouch slide with the Swype technology and full qwerty....i love it and have 0 problems.
Android is free because its based upon principles that Steve Jobs could never wrap his narrow mind around.
Sure it isn't as "polished" ill give it that but it is constantly getting better.
if you want to overpay for a phone that drops calls and a company that leaves you out in the cold then go ahead.

i love when people ask that.
All the i devices are the exact same thing.
Christ the Ipad is a fucking oversized ipod touch.
Please don't argue that it isn't the same since ive never owned one.
Just don't.
I am a phone whore...im on multiple forums for phones and ive tested 100's of them.
Im no stranger to either platform.
Ive also owned two different Blackberrys at different points.Last edited by Ralphie; 11-27-2010, 01:05 AM.

Not the last time I checked.
We all know your a fanboy but as long as your not a sheep its plain to see that anything apple as far as phones go is for people who can't think for themselves and just want a pretty package and someone to tell them how and what they can do with their phones.
Fuck the iphone.
When you want a real phone you get an android device....a phone who's OS was made for a mobile device....not just a port.
Lol you guys crack me up.
Hmm last time i checked it dosent have 4g either...
And you should check again because i can multitask, provided the app is designed for it ( like my pandora app )
I hate android phones, half the phones with it suck ass and lag like crazy
Apple on the other hand sticks to one thing and makes it work flawlessly
Do you know how apple works? they dont release anything that gives a bad user experience. Thats why video chat dosent work over 3g. What if your in a shitty 3g area and its all laggy and choppy? most people will blame the iphone for it. So instead they make it so that cant even happen.
Apple would rather have people be very happy with the features they have but still be looking for more then complaning about half ass features
PS: i hate macs but i love my iphone.

A test drive is different than ownership.
Android is free for reasons completely opposite of iOS.
I suppose being the best selling smartphone doesn't mke it any better, much like the Camry is a terrible car for being such a top buy.
Oh and I had a Palm Pre, iPhone, and HTC Hero.
Went back to the Pre because all other operating systems are obselete, especially your shitty Android OS.14 Ford Focus ST - stock(ish) - E30 Tune + Green Filter =

Good thing about Android is that if you don't like something, you can change it easily.. Keyboards, texting apps, real backgrounds (which iPhones still don't have other then the unlock screen..) etc.
Also the apps themselves are generally cheaper and half of the time the people make them free and set up a separate app that is the exact same, but you can donate money IF YOU WANT. Most of the people aren't out to make money, just to make something people might enjoyLast edited by apuforyou; 11-27-2010, 02:37 AM.

Good grief, we gonna get into the cell phone fanboy argument again? Ppl, just get over it. The FACT is that each good cell phone platform has different strengths and weaknesses, and everyone has different tastes and ways of working. So for some, the iPhone point blank is the easiest phone to use. For some its an Android phone. Some BlackBerry. Some WebOS. Some WP7. I have ZERO experiance with WebOS phones, so I won't comment at all, but I've had BB's and iPhones, and I know several different ppl with Andriod phones. Anybody who thinks that iPhone is garbage, that BB is garbage, or Android (as a platform) is garbage, you are WRONG. Aside from widgets, I have yet to see an Android phone do anything (that isn't carrier restricted) that an iPhone can't. Facetime over wifi-only is that way because AT&T WANTS it that way. If the iPhone comes to T-Mobile or Verizon, it will be usable over 3G/Lte/HSPA+/whichever. I have a friend who had an Android phone for about 6 months before he got so sick of the thing that he dumped it and got an iPhone 4, and now he says that the 4 is the absolute best cell phone he's ever had his hands on. Two other friends who absolutely SWORE by BlackBerry, until they tried out a couple of Android devices, and now they are outright pining for Android, as they can't afford the phones right now. Another friend who has looked hard at Android phones, but after seeing what OS6 can do, absolutely refuses to leave BlackBerry. I currently have a BlackBerry Curve 3G and an iPhone 3G-S, and I use both. Now, the 3G-S is mostly used like its an ipod Touch with a camera, but only because the cell radio stopped working reliably after a clumsy, five foot fall to a hard floor. But I still carry it with me just about everywhere I go, because just about everywhere I spend any large amount of time (home, work, best friend's house) has wifi that I can use. I love the thing, and I am in no way "Apple-sheep" as people like to say about iPhone users. Now, I'd really like a G2 or MyTouch4G, but if the iPhone 4 comes to T-Mobile (which it looks now like there is a good chance it might) I will pick one up in a heartbeat, but that won't stop me from still using my BlackBerry. Hey, if I could afford it, I would have an iPhone, BB, Andoid phone, and WP7 phone all at the same time. And I would use all four of them.

Now back on topic. To the OP, if you're sticking with T-Mobile for now, your only current options that I'm aware of are the MyTouch4G, or an jailbroken/unlocked iPhone 4. I don't know if the iPhone 4 Skype app does video calls or not, as I don't have a 4, but http://www.modmyi.com generally has all the answers for just about any question regarding iOS devices. I do know that people have gotten Facetime to work over Edge on T-Mobile, but I really can't imagine that video chatting wouldn't be at least somewhat choppy over Edge, regardless of what phone or provider you might be using. But if you're already gonna "hack" a phone to get it to work on a carrier it currently isn't "on", I don't see why you shouldn't hack Facetime to work over mobile data, too.
