    Cell Phone Suggestions

I have Skype that I use to webcam with my girl for when I travel. I'm thinking of getting a new phone for video chatting on the go. Anyone have any suggestion or know whether or not I would be able to do so if I download Skype on my phone?

The Android market has Skype, but you'll need to find a phone that has a forward-facing camera if you want your girl to see your face.

Thinking the Samsung Galaxy S, but if I'm gonna spend that much I might as well get an unlocked iPhone 4 but Facetime is wifi only.

The iPhone4 has a forward facing camera. And there is SO much you can do with an iPhone, especially if it's jailbroke.

evo 4g and epic 4g for sprint are probably the best android phones on the market, then youve got the iphone4 on att

If your gonna get a jaibroken and unlocked iphone 4, there's an app you can get through Cydia that lets facetime run over 3G.

I am with T-mobile right now, had then since they were Omnipoint. I get the government employee discount so it saves a bit off. I have no issues with t-mobile but if I see a warrant to switch I won't hesitate to.

Since white is my favorite color I was thinking about the iPhone 4 white unlocked. I saw they have Skype for iPhones, do you have any idea if they work through the t-mobile data?

I was just at a Sprint store yesterday checking out the phones and the evo4g was a big bigger than I like. Same with the HTD HD2, lots of tech in a big package.

Any suggestions for a phone? Something that is good in price, has video chat, and possibly GPS.

If you live in a 4G area then anything with 4G capabilities is worth it. I can get up to 10mbps down on 4g on my EVO at home and about 1-2mbps on 3G at work when tethering. Also, there are apps in the Android market to tether without paying the service providers monthly fees..

Coming from a previous iPhone owner, I love Android lol

Everyone is forgetting the Mytouch 4G for tmo.

It let's you video chat everywhere over 4g or wifi.

                        Iphone hands down.

                        Android is an afterthought OS.

No real multi-tasking and nowhere near as polished.

The virtual keyboards on Android phones are HORRENDOUS!

If the Palm Pre 2 were more impressive in hardware spec, I would recommend it over any phone on the market, since WebOS is the most intuitive and business friendly mobile OS on the market.

                          el oh el

Sure get an iphone that drops calls or can't videochat over 4G unless its hacked...

and I guess iphones can multitask?

Not the last time I checked.

We all know your a fanboy but as long as your not a sheep its plain to see that anything apple as far as phones go is for people who can't think for themselves and just want a pretty package and someone to tell them how and what they can do with their phones.

                          Fuck the iphone.

When you want a real phone you get an android device....a phone who's OS was made for a mobile device....not just a port.

Lol you guys crack me up.

I don't recall an Android device ever not being able to be recommended from Consumer Reports.

And instead of owning up and fixing the problem they offered cases....fucking ugly cases...

                            cmon open up your eyes.

                              Ok Android fanboi...

I wrote that as a Palm Pre owner whose actually owned a shiity Android OS phone.

Who gives a shit about "facetime" talk if the the keyboard isn't worth a dick?

Sorry chief, Android is free for a reason, and ad revenue is not it.
