      this seems to me they've run out of ideas for games so they are remaking classics. i'll play my old nes and snes before i buy a wii.

        Ran out of ideas for games? Hardly.

        This isn't really a "remake." It's a sequel with new, modern gameplay mechanics.

        It's difficult to put down the majority of in-house Nintendo games (titles developed or published by Nintendo, not just a game published for a Nintendo console) because they're usually very solid games. Nintendo is known for this, despite their cascading age demographic.

                  I havent played the new DK yet, but a friend of my mine said the levels are longer than the SNES version, and a tad more difficult.

                    got it last week & yes it is longer. each level feels like 2 old school levels. plus theres more than 1 check point. I think one had like 4 check points.

                    but its not harder. in fact I find the main bosses easier.

                      Really? The original dk country was hard as hell, but a lot of fun lol. I think I still have the snes version of the game. Don't know for sure though.
