This song has been kicking my ass for the last month

I don't play or practice as much as I should and for the longest time I couldn't do some of the tapping parts and the fast picking stuff at the end at full speed, but after many angry practice sessions that ended with me wanting to smash my guitar, I think I've kind of got it lol.

If you don't like the song, atleast watch from like 1:12-1:42 because it's fun to play, and from 3:10-3:26 because it made me want to chunk the guitar off my balcony when I was learning it

This is why i prefer playing blues licks....the tech shit does payoff and helps your dexterity but omg is it a pita to learn.

Haha when I first started learning it, the only thing I could I kept saying was "what did I get myself into!?" This was miles ahead of what I was able to play before so I'm kind of surprised and proud of myself for being able to learn it!

I need to learn some bass stuff, any recommendations Mike?

I'm most familar with punk and ska stuff, personally. Anything by Karl Alvarez of the Descendents and All... Anything by Rancid.
If you really want to go out of your mind, check out the newer material by Streetlight Manifesto... that bassist is absurdly good.

You want serious bass work? Check out some Rush or Tool. I started with Alien Ant Farm's cover of "Smooth Criminal." It was a lot of fun to play!
