If I was gonna cut out something it would be some of the other cars I got. I'm not really complaining though. It's just the cost of living where I live.

    My house is a 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage I bought in 07 for $252,000.00
when I bought it that was about the cheapest a house was going for.
The housing market is crazy in Seattle.

Also I could never sell my truck yo. I gotta have a truck to haul the Boat!

Ah, that would do it. My wife has relatives up in that area. Housing is crazy up there. Down here it's much better. Hell, I was looking at a 2,128 square foot house with a 0.9 acre lot and a 36x38 workshop for $147k!

I'm not sure how it works where you live, or up in Washington, but here in Texas, we have no income tax. They make up for it with property tax. The house we are looking at would normally be $800/mo, but once you tack on the property tax, it takes that payment up to about $1200/mo. That may be the case in Washington, which would explain the higher payment.

We have state income tax here... 5% I think... Tax on my house is about $8000 a year but that's a separate account for me

my pay just went up and by new years it will go up again. so im thinking ill be making 12.50. if i go for level 2 certification, ill get paid 14 bucks. and the living is cheap where i live so im not to worried as of right now. so thats why i was thinking about getting something new. and i probably will still stay in the honda world. so if not a truck, a 07 accord or 05+ acura tl type s
must be nice to be able to afford those vehicles on those wages.

I make $15/hr and although I can afford to pay for my car and insurance, my other bills, like my phone and visa are always expensive. Doesnt leave me much money left over for groceries, gas, car maintenance, clothes, other basic necessities and stuff. I mean, I'm freakin broke all the time. I cash a $1000 paycheck every 2 weeks and literally half my check goes to bills and I have like $300 to last me 2 weeks.

Dang. That's a killer tax. The houses I've been looking at average 5000/yr. I think I like Texas just a little more, now. =D

I've been living on my own for the past year and a half now and there's no way like reality to give you a wake up call.

                              Rent: 1075
                              Bank loan 1: 306
                              Bank loan 2: 204
School loan: Min is 175 but I pay 300 to get it gone
                              Visa: 100 min
                              Credit card 1: 10 min
                              Credit card 2: 75 min
                              Insurance: 135
Gas: 100-150ish depending on work driving
Food: 200-250....cut out fast food and save big time
                              TV/internet: 180
                              Misc: 200ish

I also pay the government 150 a month...but since they take my income tax, in april itll be gone when they take my 4000+ return

I also pay my dad anywhere from 100-500 a month depending how much I have left at the end of each pay period

I rarely pay just the minimum on bills anymore....but I cant give an exact number as to what I pay cuz it goes by how much money I have left over at the end of every pay period.....I pay my bills the day before I get paid next to ensure a) I pay as much as I can....and b) if im ever in dire need of cash between pays I dont have to go to my dad anymore.

Lessons learned.....when your 19 you dont truly realize how much those mistakes are gonna cost till years later.
