Honestly, that's not the internet...that's just real life. The internet is just another forum for people to do it in.

It'd be pretty hard to enforce any sort of censorship too without just straight up closing sites down. Web sites releasing IPs are great and all but any average joe with a credit card can go and buy a VPS out of Germany and bam...nearly untracable.

Idk...just seems like nothings going to change. It'd just be too much effort to be done properly and no one's willing to put the time in.

Everyone needs to stop thinking that the internet is a public place where anything goes.

Google should def give up their information, as it is PUBLIC information(ip address ect)

And to whoever said Google won't give it up....think again. Google has already cooperated with the authorities on multiple accounts. They are smart about how they are portrayed in the media.

They WILL give it up without hesitation because they know they have no case. The government may not have more money then Google(then again they print the money) but nonetheless if a judge orders it, Google will not fight it i guarantee it.

There are private domains on the net. Google's net crawlers are too invasive it makes most public. There are various cases about this. Google says they value the user's privacy but why is it that they were rated as one of the worst?

Lol I love to read all of the " I didn't get this untill this age " shot. Do you know why? Because that shit was expensive, you had a family computer because it was too expensive and not reasonable to have more than one. Times have changed and computers are required in schools today and with their low cost its easy to give one to a child for school work and stuff. Want to stop cyber bullying? Everyone has the right to choose weather or not to show there true identity,
Especially while using something as vastly accessible as the internet.
If someone commits a crime, harassment or defamation they sure as fuck
arnt going to show themselves and shouldn't have to as its there choice.
Just as it was her choice to act on camera, and than choose to be
interviewed by someone she thinks might see it.
The anonymity of the internet is the same as anything in history that has
allowed people to anonymously contribute ideas and opinions to the rest of
the world.... who is this bitch to think she has the right to track someone down to there own
residents threw a system that is supposed to be secure becasue she is
unhappy about the fact that what she did on camera is now on the web and
that someone has an opinion about her.
In my opinion this women needs to cut the saving the interweb from

My first post was about Google and internet privacy but I will comment on the story at hand.

She complained that a video she participated from college with the comment WHORE be taken down. Not just the comment but the videos. Then she claimed it damaged her emotionally and was damaging to her career as a business consultant. Then the suit followed. (Side note - she just graduated recently and was unable to find a job).

She gained publicity but whether or not it helped her I will let you fine folks decide. Now we know of her, well sorta. We also know that she will be the type to sue for little things. Good luck to her and her company that hires her.

And besides, whether or not she is a "whore" is not confirmed.

You would need proof that i harassed you which unless i did, you would not have.

Remember, EVERYTHING is trackable on the internet.

So since you'd have no case, it would not happen.

And as far as blaming the internet for parenting, that is bullshit.

Kids will always be kids no matter what.

Kids make mistakes, even the best raised kids.

So in order to prevent them from making a mistake which could really get them in a serious situation you prevent them access 24/7 to things that are not necessary.

And my IBM Aptiva in 1998 was not that expensive...we could have bought two of them or even three but my parents didn't feel it was necessary as the family could share on computer.

Whether it was for safety or not i believe it is a good mechanism to prevent a child from doing or seeing things they should not.

Can they find other ways i.e friends house yes but not in my house.
