    Did you know....

.....that a Chevy HHR is considered a truck? Yes, a truck?

Well, in Philly they give CHevy HHRs truck plates so they are considered a truck!

I was just "Parking Wars" and a guy parked one in a truck zone and the Parking guy thought its a regular passenger vehicle but the plate said "truck" and he had to cancel the ticker after consulting his supervisor.

    Learn something new everyday.

                  in certain states they do.

Im happy that you guys find this as weird as I do. What constitutes a truck? I only consider pickups as trucks and an HHR is far from that.

We only put truck plates on real trucks here in Texas. You won't see any bull like an HHR getting that status. You've either got to be a ranch/farm vehicle to get those plates, or you're hauling heavy crap all day. Even regular trucks down here don't get truck plates unless they ask for them.

I'm guessing that truck spaces are larger?

There's actually -2- panel versions of the HHR. One has absolutely NO windows in the rear and the rear doors have poppers. The other has windows and EXT handles on the rear doors but no glass on the cargo area.

Working for GM, ill look into this and the story behind it.

As for plates, in Missouri, we also have truck plates. Might even light duty and heavy duty. We also have a thing where if you live in a certain county or area or the truck is considered a "farm vehicle" you dont have to have plates, and you can even drive it on the street. A few of the guys here are like that. They live SO far out in the sticks that theyre trucks dont have plates and they drive like an hour to work, lol.
