Hopefully I can finally ditch Comcast's overpriced TV service and get just internet. Save me probably $40-$50 a month.

Basically its a box you hook up to your TV through hdmi and you have a keyboard with a touch pad that you can control your tv and dvr. You have a full web browser (Google Chrome), the android market, and other stuff you can do on the tv. Here's a few clips

So, can you cancel your satellite TV and just stream tv shows live through the net?

Apple TV is kinda the same, if I recall correctly. I don't know much though, so I shouldn't have even posted.

Sure, if you feel like always searching for what you want to watch, definitely save some money every month. I'll probably still keep my Dish because I like browsing the channels for random shows/movies though.

I think Apple tv is more like stream stuff from your iTunes library and also do netflix and what not, but no internet or apps like Google tv. I'll probably wait until it's been out for a little bit and see how everyone else likes it first

I just have a comuter hooked up to my 42"

Comcast's basic cable (plugged into the TV, no box) and internet access is cheaper than internet alone, actually. At least in my area.

My laptop video card sucks so when I hook it up to the tv it looks HORRIBLE lol. For $300 dollars though, it doesn't sound TOO bad. I could see myself watching tv and posting on here on on my 50" Samsung

I'm sold. I don't have to break out my laptop anymore to watch fantasy stats. I'll just PIP the game and have my fantasy updates in the main screen! YES!

I need to find a way to hook my phone to my TV... then I can stream Netflix over 3G and watch it on the big screen! I mean, I can do that via PC or xbox360 as well... but it'd really be sticking it to the man if I bypassed Comcast completely (and raped AT&T's bandwidth at the same time! )

The only way I can think of doing that is connecting it via USB, but I'm sure you've tried that already.

Oh yeah, I'd use up as much bandwidth as I can right now, Deev, they're going to really cap it in the near future.

Are they? I've only heard that anyone with the unlimited service prior to the current 2gb cap was grandfathered in indefinitely... though I'm sure people like me that watch Netflix in their car, or stream Pandora all day long, are going to bring an end to that very soon...

Well, apparently Verizon will be getting the iPhone in 2011, so if AT&T caps my data, they'll have nothing keeping me with them. I was about to transfer to Verizon when I ended up buying my first iPhone from custom lowz last year...

Ahhh, I didn't read that you'd be grandfathered into it automatically.

Just to let you know, I'm with Verizon right now. I read that they will also start capping soon (if they haven't already). I was fortunate enough to jump in on an EnV3 before they started automatically forcing you to buy a data plan for the phone ($29.99 for an extremely small amount of data).

I know you'll do your research, just wanted to give you a friendly heads up.
