my friend executed a mouse and two of her kids. BB went through all of thier heads.

but then again, they started a nest in the engine bay of my friend's car so they had it coming.

Shooting an animal with a BB gun IS cruel... though if it's not deadly or doing permanent damage, it's not quite as bad. I still don't condone it. However, there were some "outside" cats roaming around my neighborhood recently. My dog is 5lbs, so these cats were twice his size. My dog is friendly, and the cats might see him as a toy. I didn't like letting him outside for fear that he'd get hurt!

I made a pea-shooter out of a plastic milk bottle top and a balloon. Drop some beans (I actually used corriander... ) in there, pull back, let em fly. I scared one cat with the noise of it a few times... but once it got brave enough to actually come up to my door, trying to get the dog as he ran inside... that cat got a load of corriander right in the side! Not enough to hurt it... but enough to scare the shit out of it. It didn't come back.

It's like child abuse... smacking a child firmly (but gently) on the backside shows you're serious, but does no damage. I wouldn't call that abuse. Smacking a child until he bruises and bleeds is abuse.

Throwing puppies in the river. That's abuse. Some of them may have lived. I hope. Some died, I'm sure.

Most animals can swim by instinct, from the moment they're born. The current is another story, though... you're probably right about that.

Police in the central Bosnian town of Bugojno said Friday they have found the girl they suspect is seen on the video killing six newborn puppies by throwing them into the river one by one.

The disturbing video provoked worldwide outrage after being posted online earlier this week.
Police say they have located the girl, who is a juvenile, from leads given by animal protection groups in the country.

The girl's parents will soon be questioned, police said. Under recently adopted animal protection law, people can be fined up to euro5,000 ($6,400) for cruel treatment of animals.
