Holy shit bro....glad she's alive and conscious. Her injuries could have been a lot worse (obviously).

A little rubbing compound on the 626 and it'll be good as new

Hey Julian, you know my position on this one. I got your back. If it calls for it, I can fly from Tucson to Dover in a blink of an eye. this is a bad situation, but you know that you got everyone behind you and Alex.

this is something that time and lots of love and patience can heal, which I know you will provide all three in a very nice way towards Alex. Just keep it together. not saying that you should be strong because your world just got rocked and youre allowed to break down. Tis will be alright!

Just came back from the hospital. I'm back home now. Haven't been here since Saturday morning since her mom called.

She's doing alot better now. Still in alot of pain, but she's a fighter. Sure as hell smiled when I walked in with the current issue of Honda Tuning. I was with her almost the whole day till the nurse kinda asked me to leave for the night. It was pretty emotional since we had some alone moments and got to talking, but all is good.

btw, I think she did tense up, but I'm not exactly sure, because the investigators noticed she slammed on her brakes (skidmarks) when she saw the truck (but doesn't remember, go figure) so which probably caused the broken legs, and then the right arm and wrist (she drives stick) and the left arm is fine (just has scratches)

Damn. People have died from less. She's really lucky. Sounds like you guys are patching things up though so that's positive.

Good luck to the both of you and hopefully she has a speedy recovery.

Weird, I'd have thought the right arm would be less damaged, and the left arm would be broken from bracing against the steering wheel. Driving stick though... yeah, she probably shot both feet to the floor... brake and clutch. That's how I'd do it.
The good thing is, the injuries indicate the reactions of a good, alert driver... she wasn't throwing her hands up to cover her face. It sounds like she instinctively did whatever she could to avoid the crash. That little bit she was able to do (along with the seatbelts and other safety devices in the car) are probably why she's still alive.

Updates: day three: they moved her from TSU to an actual room and took her IV and oxygen out as well as her chest tube. There's only one tube in her (but I think we're not all stupid on what tube that is.)

She's gotten less visitors (which I made sure happened) so she could rest. The techs in the TSU aren't the best and only had two good hours of sleep since the accident.

When she was moved into her new room, she was in pain, but the techs and nurses then were rough on her. After she was going through that, we went online and then watched the Office on Hulu and calmed her down.
Then when they moved her from the chair to the bed, I helped out with her legs along with one nurse that was easy on her while another kinda strapped her to a hoist to carry her and that went fairly well.

After that, I've been by her side 99% of the time (always have), even when nurses asked her if she wanted me to leave or whatever. I've even helped her scratched itchy areas, moved her around, pillow service, fed her, etc.

All in all, I was a lot less emotional, and so was she. Plus she got some catnaps and rest that was much needed. She'd wake up if I moved, cause she held my hand the whole time.

Oh deev. She told me she pushed the clutch and brake (I was proud lol) braced herself that way, then her right arm either on the shifter or the general area and she said her left arm was chilling on the door panel. The only damage on her left arm/hand area was the back of her hand is cut up (like road rash) from the glass.
