    Clarification on OEM/HID bulbs?

So now that im looking for HID's for the 02 Accord i see that the bulb type is HB3 and HB4 for the low/high respectively i believe.

Nonetheless the website i bookmarked doesn't have anything listed under HB?

    WARNING NOOB QUESTION!>!?!?!

Is that because HB3=H3? HB4=H4 etc?

I want to do both the low and high because i don't think ill like the look of just the lows and then OEM highs.

    Thanks guys!

I usually go right to google but I didn't want to sort thru endless piles of useless hid nonsense.

      Thank you though.

Alot of cars with factory HID's come with halogens for high beams

Yeah, since high beams are often used for a short time, it can put considerable wear on HIDs.

Hmmm yea i already decided since i don't happen to use highs but about 4% of total beam on time, ill just do lows. I settled on 35w 6k for the lows. Should look good.

As has been mentioned, HID's are not suitable for high beam use. In addition to being ridiculously blinding, it is just going to kill the lights.

HID's have a much longer 'arc strike time' and they don't work effectively until they get up to operating temps, which takes a bit.

Also, at some point, they thought it would be a good idea to start changing bulb designations. Those might be the same as 9005/9006. If you google, you should find some equivalency information.
