This applys to my integra. And no one helps in " other automotive " so im putting this in off topic
Anyways. Why is it bad to manually down shift an automatic?
Today i was driving up a steep hill not trying to speed. The only true way to downshift it would be to floor it. But then i would down shift and be giving it alot of throttle. So instead i just shifted it into 2 ( i was only doing 35 ) and everything went smoothly
Also on the integra it has a " sports " mode too. Its actually effective on the integra though. Anyways the sports button shifts it from s3 to s4. So is it safe to downshift using this button?
Also i changed my ATF with genuine acura AFT ( yes yes its honda atf but they brand the bottle from acura ). My automatic transmission has 288k on it. The old fluid looked like melted choclate. it seems to shift smoother but was that a bad idea?
And i just have to post this up because its beast. A fucking electric generator in my car. I closed the hatch and was on my way home lol.
