How many of you guys work for a dealership? How many of you guys work for non-honda dealerships? How long have you been there? Also, how many of you guys don't own cars for the dealership make you work for?





I ask because, I just got a job at volkwagen. I'm thinking about getting me one also. All about being part of the team I guess. I'm a counterperson at Carquest Autoparts now. I'm going to be one at volkawagen. I'm soooooo geeked right now.

I work for a Chevy dealership. I drive a Honda. I get shit for it all the time, lol.

1. Congrats on the new career path.
2. You lucky sonofa....parts is where it's at. At least it is here, lol.
3. I dont know about getting a "V-Dub" though, lol. I was looking at getting a GM truck, but not cuz i work here. If you like them or its a car you think youll like, go for it.

i'm a tech at the local honda dealer, i've been there for two years, and i still drive a honda at the moment but unless i can find the right car when i'm ready to buy i'm either getting a nissan or a vdub next. the new gti's are fucking gangster.

I worked for Mazda for 2 years, Honda for 4 years, for the past 3 years I've been working for Toyota, and yes I drive a honda.

i did a year a honda but have an accord before that. now i am working a all makes service repair shop.

vdubs are good cars. rim it drop it and leave it alone.

I've been working autoparts for 3 years. I used to love my job, but now, I barely like it. I'm gonna get a Vdub next year when I'm more settled and accomplished in Volkswagens. I'm freaking geeked!!!!!!!!! I've been trying to get into a dealership for awhile. Two years almost but ppl turned me away cuz of lack of experience. Someone refered me to them. I did the interview 2 weeks ago. Got the job last week. I train next week. I give my two week notice after that. I knew it was gonna be a good year!!!!!

I work at a Ford dealership and I own two Honda Accords. I've been working here for about 1.5 years now. I wouldn't mind owning a Ford to make use of the parts and fluids we have in stock, but I know better than to buy an older Ford . On that note the new Fords seem to be of much better quality nowadays though, but I'll stick with driving Hondas

I work for a Honda dealer and I've been there about 10 months will be a year in Sept..prior to that I did a stint last summer as used car tech for an Acura dealership.

And I own a Honda.

I'm not so much in it to be 'part' of a team but more or less there simple to work on and plus discount on parts is a plus. I'm contemplating on buying a truck once the coupe is done though..another car is a possiblity but I'm not sure which make..thinking Vdub as well.

I've been with Honda for about yen years now. The car business in dealership use to b good. Use to bring home at least 4k a month. Now I'm struggling to make half. Parts dept is different. If your dealership does wholesale then you should b ok. But with my experience, the politics in the dealership is horrible. Now, I just go to work do my shit and go home. I don't even try to make friends anymore, too fucked up. Unless there's someone ghetto like me, then yeah, I may open up my trust. But everyone has their own opinion about this fucked up business. Personally I hate it. But spent too much money on tools and I have a family. Oh yeah, I drive a Honda. I will never buy a car from my own dealership becase they will tell you that this is your discount, but you go somewhere else and you get a better deal. Don't ever buy a car from your workplace unless you're really tight with the sales manager and the GM. That's my two pennies. Good luck.
