    question about honda dealerships

would a honda dealership have a computer to check obd1 or do they all only run obd2's now? and if so would they be able to hook up to my car and tell me whats wrong with it even though its not throwing any codes?
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

If it's not throwing any codes, what makes you think any scanner is going to be able to pull anything? Does your check engine light work?

The dealership should be able to pull any code regardless of whether your car is OBD1 or OBD2. If it's not throwing any codes they won't be able to pull anything but they SHOULD try and diagnose the vehicle in other ways. Basically they will try to replicate the problem if possible. All of your car's problems will not output codes.

There is no obd data port on our cars. You aren't going to get any data streams or anything.

Tippey764, by no data ports on our cars I'm assuming you mean nothing like an obd2 reader. To the OP we do have a jumper connection that will blink the CEL and translate to a diagnostic troubleshooting code.

                  Bucky...

If you can read off the code..I can check it for you here at work. We have service publications (service manuals) for all the models.
