Need answers fast about getting student loans

I'm trying to start a six week course to earn my CDL through the Des Moines Area Community College. Six weeks, 2 in classroom, 4 in truck. I need $3500 for tuition, $400 for books.

HOW THE FUCK do I get a student loan? I've called 9 places already, and all say the same thing as wells fargo- If I make under 12K a year (i do) then I need a cosigner and my parents credit is fucked from our house in virginia.

Please, is there ANY way I can get a student loan without a cosigner?

Try US Direct Loans which is government education assistance or SallieMae. Those are the two I used to get me through college. Good luck bro, finding loans can be a PITA

sallie mae gives you money without a cosigner..I was 18 and I got 3500 from them

FAFSA? That's where I got my grants and loan offers from when I had no job at all... Didn't need a cosigner either. This is kind of short notice though, maybe let this class pass, get your ducks in a row for money and apply for the next class.

yeah I got all my student loans and grants through FAFSA, but the process isn't quick, you would've had to do it months ago to have the money now. They've got to review your application and all that along w/ a lot of other people's. But it worth it, I only have to pay like 3-500 bucks this upcoming fall semester for a full 14 credit hours to study Mech. Eng. at ASU

I got my student loan through Fafsa also but everything was done online and i got my award letter a few weeks later. I was also approved for a loan of $8840 a year with only a 5% interest when i go to repay.

fafsa only works if your old enough to only claim yourself and fill it out on your behalf. i believe the age is 21+ otherwise you have to put them on the fasfa as well. but if your family doesnt make much money it should still fair well. FAFSA is not credit related.

I claim only myself and only "made" 8000 dollars last year which qualifies me for the pell grant and i now do not have to pay for school (mech. Engineering) and am actually getting money back because of additional grants due to good grades! the cool thing is that over the next two semesters ill get enough back to almost have my student loans paid off before i even graduate school and ill be graduating debt free!! woohoo!
